Engineers Australia: Engineers Australia will accredit and register Senior Defence aerospace technicians and engineers in an exciting new partnership with the Australian Defence Force.

The arrangement sees EA cement its strong relationship with Defence to accredit and register Professional Engineers, Technologists and Associates across Army, RAAF, and Navy.

Engineers Australia CEO Peter McIntyre says the new Defence Engineers and Senior Technician Agreement is an exciting first for both organisations.

"The agreed professional accreditation arrangement will cover off leadership, management and technical skills and for the first time will accredit Defence personnel against a global benchmark."

"It’s a highest standard system for recognising competencies in Leadership and Management and other technical areas of practice as set by EA.

"We are very pleased to be working with Defence on this," Mr McIntyre said.

The Agreement will initially cover around 1,400 defence personnel with additional personnel to be added in the near future.

The new Defence Engineers and Senior Technician agreement will see Defence acknowledge Engineers Australia at technical conferences, courses, presentations, workshops and in promotional documents.
